Senior Manager, Infrastructure Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process for infrastructure projects that support Commercial business functions.

• Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across hybrid infrastructure settings, including on-premises, cloud, and shared services.

• Lead the planning, execution, dependency management, and risk mitigation for multiple simultaneous initiatives.

• Continuously evaluate and adjust priorities based on business needs, delivery capacity, and associated risks.

• Balance immediate delivery requirements with long-term infrastructure sustainability and scalability objectives.

• Proactively manage the balance between demand and capacity, ensuring teams concentrate on the most valuable and high-risk tasks.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to appropriately sequence tasks and resolve conflicting priorities.

• Make clear trade-offs when constraints arise, effectively communicating the impact and reasoning behind decisions.

• Work closely with solution and enterprise architects to review and scrutinize infrastructure designs.

• Utilize a solid understanding of solution architecture principles to ensure designs fulfill requirements for resilience, security, scalability, and operational support.

• Provide constructive feedback on proposed solutions, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for simplification or reuse.

• Ensure that infrastructure designs comply with enterprise standards and the hybrid architecture strategy.

• Offer influential leadership across cross-functional teams in engineering, architecture, security, and operations.

• Convert technical delivery details into clear updates for senior leadership at the business level.

• Act as a reliable delivery partner for Commercial business leaders and technology executives.

• Maintain composure and credibility in high-pressure situations and during tight delivery schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in infrastructure delivery, engineering, or technology program leadership.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering infrastructure solutions within a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud).

• Strong prioritization abilities, with a knack for continually reassessing tasks based on value, risk, and capacity.

• Experience in managing demand versus capacity across various initiatives.

• Familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.

• Excellent influential leadership capabilities and communication skills at the executive level.

• Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight, highly visible deadlines.

• Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure and solution architecture concepts.
