This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical partner for RTX Ventures, offering insights into emerging technologies, manufacturability, and factory-oriented application opportunities.

• Assist in trade studies by evaluating technical alternatives, identifying risks, and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

• Oversee the development, tracking, and reporting of Connected Factory metrics, such as automation KPIs, Control Tower insights, and digital performance dashboards.

• Contribute to factory automation initiatives, including the assessment of automation opportunities, technology readiness, and coordination of deployment with site teams.

• Lead the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) Council and support the Quality Management System (QMS) Council, focusing on the harmonization of QMS across business units and its integration into standard operating procedures.

• Serve as a strategic partner for Producibility initiatives, ensuring that manufacturability considerations are incorporated into design, development, and scaling processes.

• Offer support for MBDMI (Model-Based Definition / Model-Based Inspection) to enhance digital product lifecycle capabilities.

• Work collaboratively with functional and site teams to promote best practice sharing, accelerate digital maturity, and foster continuous improvement in technical excellence.

• Ensure consistency between enterprise initiatives, business unit strategies, and site-level deployment activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Digital Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

• Strong expertise in manufacturing, digital technologies, automation, or technical program management.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects and managing cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, factory automation, or digital thread technologies.
