
Senior Manager, Grants and Donor Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Writing, coordinating, and overseeing significant grants, managing the complete lifecycle of foundation grants.
• Drafting, editing, and submitting grant proposals and reports that comply with funder guidelines and align with organizational priorities.
• Reviewing, editing, and enhancing key regional grant applications as necessary in collaboration with fundraisers.
• Collaborating with program, finance, and other personnel to collect necessary data, budgets, testimonials, and narratives for grant applications and reports.
• Monitoring and updating grant calendars, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
• Maintaining precise, up-to-date records in the grants database and CRM.
• Managing the grants inbox, overseeing incoming requests and updates, and directing information to the appropriate team members.
• Sending reminders to fundraisers and internal partners to keep regional grants, reports, and supporting materials on schedule.
• Overseeing BBYO’s direct mail program, which includes planning, drafting, coordinating approvals, tracking timelines, and partnering with stakeholders to execute initiatives annually.
• Composing essential communications from the CEO to major donors.
• Assisting donor engagement efforts by preparing materials, messaging, briefings, and follow-up communications that motivate giving.
• Supporting on-the-ground donor engagement and communication efforts surrounding BBYO International Convention.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, non-profit development, or donor communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities to create compelling grant proposals, donor messages, direct mail content, and stewardship communications.
• Highly organized and systematic project manager capable of tracking deadlines, sending reminders, managing competing priorities, and advancing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using data, program outcomes, donor insights, and constituent narratives to craft persuasive communications and illustrate impact.
• Collaborative team player who can gather information from colleagues, work with senior organizational leaders, and assist fundraisers with clarity and follow-through.
• Availability to attend all major BBYO events, including the Staff Conference and International Convention each year, along with team retreats and other gatherings.
