This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.
• Act as the main point of contact for patients who have given consent throughout their treatment journey, from enrollment to the initiation and continuation of therapy.
• Perform assessments of patient needs to address issues related to coverage, affordability, and logistical challenges.
• Coordinate care among healthcare providers, caregivers, and various care sites.
• Take responsibility for the complete patient progression and address any access hurdles.
• Offer guidance on reimbursement, coverage pathways, prior authorizations, step-edits, coding, and payer-specific information.
• Address reimbursement issues through escalation and coordination efforts.
• Provide compliant education to healthcare professionals regarding reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, hub services, enrollment, and financial assistance programs.
• Develop and implement access strategies at the account level.
• Identify systemic obstacles and streamline workflows to minimize delays in therapy initiation.
• Engage with payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and tackle access challenges.
• Foster communication between healthcare provider offices, payers, and patient support programs.
• Share internal insights regarding payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access barriers.
• Assist in the development of cross-functional strategies through field recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams.
• Participate in account planning and the execution of coordinated, patient-centric access strategies.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or related customer-facing roles/functions.
• At least 9 years of experience with a Master’s, BSN, or RPh degree.
• Over 1 year of experience in an Access and Reimbursement support role.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Specialty Pharma, ideally within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sectors, provider/carrier networks, or government agencies.
• Required experience in Reimbursement and Access.
• Preferred experience in the Endocrinology or Immunoglobulin sectors.
• Strong comprehension of reimbursement, government payment systems, provider/carrier networks, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty policy dynamics in the rare disease community.
• Proven experience in exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in strategic planning and the successful execution of plans.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a capability to work across internal boundaries while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Capacity to operate in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.
• Proven track record of collaboration with diverse customers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Training and experience in responsible business communication, both written and verbal.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify a candidate from hiring.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, mentor and coach others, and supervise and guide colleagues’ work.
• Must reside within the geographical area or within 25 miles or closer to territory boundaries.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
