This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance Affirm’s global mobility strategy encompassing immigration, remote work, and international assignments.
• Develop globally uniform policies and decision-making frameworks for immigration, cross-border work, and permanent relocations, ensuring suitable local adaptability.
• Create scalable processes and tools to facilitate global mobility in a remote-first setting.
• Collaborate with internal legal teams and external advisors to implement compliant, proactive immigration and mobility programs.
• Provide counsel to senior leadership on immigration, mobility, and location strategies, integrating evolving regulatory requirements and impacts while balancing business objectives, costs, and employee experiences.
• Work alongside Legal, Tax, Finance, Total Rewards, Payroll, Equity, and Talent teams to deliver cohesive, business-relevant initiatives.
• Direct vendor strategies and enhance partnerships with immigration attorneys and mobility service providers.
• Convert intricate requirements into clear, employee-friendly policies and guidance.
• Promote the adoption of mobility frameworks through stakeholder education and empowerment.
• Establish and uphold reporting and analytics to assess program effectiveness and guide decision-making (e.g., timelines, SLAs, KPIs, compliance results, employee experience).
• 10–12+ years of experience in global mobility and immigration, with a strong focus on U.S. immigration.
• Proven experience in managing and developing programs within a multi-jurisdictional, remote-first, or distributed environment.
• Solid understanding of immigration, employment, and remote work compliance considerations.
• Demonstrated capacity to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
• Established experience in influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent judgment and capability to navigate ambiguity and complex trade-offs.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable guidance.
• Experience in managing vendors and developing and scaling programs.
