This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
• Formulating and implementing category pricing strategies, encompassing Reg/Net positioning, KVIs, price ladders, and geographic pricing.
• Converting business objectives (margin, share, acquisition, basket growth) into pricing strategies with established targets and performance metrics.
• Managing the competitive pricing stance and Water Level (WL) strategy, which includes benchmarking, elasticity-driven pricing decisions, and price modifications.
• Utilizing advanced analytical techniques (machine learning, demand forecasting, price elasticity, optimization) to guide pricing decisions.
• Creating, executing, and assessing pricing experiments (e.g., A/B testing) to gauge impact and enhance strategies.
• Analyzing extensive datasets through SQL-based tools (e.g., Snowflake) and interpreting model outputs, forecasts, and performance indicators.
• Collaborating with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to deploy and scale pricing models and decision-making tools.
• Overseeing category performance, which includes margin, price competitiveness, market share, forecast accuracy, and customer acquisition results.
• Identifying performance influencers and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance business outcomes.
• Leading the deployment of pricing tools, platforms, and process enhancements to modernize legacy methods.
• Leading and nurturing a team of pricing professionals, focusing on performance management and capability development.
• 8+ years of experience in pricing, retail merchandising, revenue management, or financial analytics.
• In-depth understanding of retail pricing dynamics, promotions, and front store category management.
• Proven capability to balance margin performance, competitive pricing, and customer value.
• Advanced analytical abilities; strong expertise in Excel.
• Capability to influence cross-functional partners and communicate effectively at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Previous experience in people management or informal team leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying statistical modeling, demand forecasting, price elasticity, and optimization techniques to achieve business results.
• Experience handling large datasets, including querying and analyzing data using SQL-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent).
• Proficiency in interpreting machine learning or predictive model outputs and utilizing results for business decision-making.
• Proven understanding of experimental design, execution, and evaluation of results (e.g., A/B testing) to assess impact and refine strategies.
• Established ability to present analytical findings and influence stakeholders at the Director and VP levels.
• Experience managing teams, encompassing hiring, performance management, and talent development.
• Experience collaborating with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to implement analytical or data-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with AI or advanced analytics tools to support data analysis, reporting, or decision-making.
