This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Manufacturing & Services and Quality, Ethics & Compliance Business Groups.
• Serve as a Finance Business Partner to selected functions within these groups.
• The role encompasses financial modeling, product costing, analytics, and the preparation of presentations.
• Identify challenges and opportunities to enhance business value through insightful analyses.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to provide proactive, data-driven recommendations that influence investment decisions.
• Develop cost/benefit analyses for decision-making regarding go/no-go choices.
• Deliver insightful reports across various levels and areas of the business that connect historical and current data to future expectations.
• Supervise the preparation and review of financial results for the function and present these findings to leadership teams.
• Assist in contract negotiations for key customer contracts, RFPs, supplier contracts, etc., by providing comprehensive analyses.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required;
• A Master’s in Business Administration or a related advanced business degree is highly recommended.
• At least 10 years of experience in a financial and/or analytical role; experience in the biotech/pharma industry is preferred.
• Experience in planning and analysis is essential.
• Familiarity with product costing is advantageous.
• Experience in a matrixed environment is a plus.
• Proven ability to leverage external best practices concerning metrics and KPIs to drive value and insights for Emergent while also utilizing internal or external best practices to enhance overall FP&A processes.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and critical reasoning capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate key points.
• Capability to effectively present complex information to Senior Management.
