This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Drive the strategy, design, governance, and implementation of Affirm's executive compensation initiatives, which encompass base salary frameworks, annual incentives, and equity programs.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure compensation initiatives are aligned with business objectives, operational goals, values, and organizational culture.
• Spearhead the continuous assessment, improvement, and administration of executive compensation programs to maintain market competitiveness, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Examine market trends, compensation practices, and economic conditions to formulate recommendations that support talent acquisition and business goals.
• Work closely with Compensation Operations to guarantee effective program delivery, administration, and governance.
• Engage with stakeholders across People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to address complex compensation issues and facilitate successful program execution.
• Create communication and educational strategies that empower leaders and employees to comprehend and effectively utilize compensation programs.
• Oversee compensation tools, systems, and processes to enhance data quality, efficiency, and the employee experience.
• Lead analyses of executive compensation and assist in preparing materials for Compensation Committee, Board, and executive leadership reviews.
• A minimum of 12 years of compensation experience, with substantial expertise in designing and managing both broad-based and executive compensation programs.
• Proven success in leading increasingly complex compensation projects and influencing senior business leaders.
• Extensive knowledge in compensation strategy, market benchmarking, incentive design, executive compensation, governance, and program administration.
• Experience in supporting executive compensation programs, Board or Compensation Committee activities, proxy-related tasks, or other governance obligations.
• Established ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership.
• Strong strategic thinking skills coupled with the ability to translate philosophy into scalable operational solutions.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including expert-level proficiency in Excel and experience in developing complex compensation models, scenario analyses, and large-scale workforce analyses.
• Familiarity with modern analytics, data, and AI-driven tools (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma Computing, Claude Code, or similar platforms) to generate insights, enhance efficiency, and support compensation decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills, business acumen, and executive presence, with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
