This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Spearhead the strategy, design, governance, and execution of Affirm's executive compensation initiatives, encompassing base salary frameworks, annual incentives, and equity offerings.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure compensation programs resonate with business priorities, operational objectives, values, and organizational culture.
• Drive the continuous assessment, refinement, and management of executive compensation programs to maintain market relevance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate market trends, compensation methodologies, and economic factors to generate recommendations that align with talent and business objectives.
• Work closely with Compensation Operations to guarantee effective program delivery, administration, and governance.
• Partner with stakeholders from People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to navigate complex compensation issues and facilitate successful program execution.
• Create communication and educational strategies that empower leaders and employees to comprehend and utilize compensation programs effectively.
• Manage compensation tools, systems, and processes to enhance data quality, efficiency, and overall employee experience.
• Lead analyses of executive compensation and assist in preparing materials for the Compensation Committee, Board, and executive leadership reviews.
• 12+ years of experience in compensation, with extensive experience in designing and managing broad-based and executive compensation programs.
• Proven success in leading progressively complex compensation initiatives and influencing senior business leaders.
• In-depth expertise in compensation strategy, market benchmarking, incentive structuring, executive compensation, governance, and program administration.
• Experience in supporting executive compensation programs, Board or Compensation Committee processes, proxy-related activities, or other governance mandates.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across People, Finance, Legal, and business leadership.
• Strong strategic acumen coupled with the capability to translate philosophy into scalable operational solutions.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including expert-level proficiency in Excel and experience in developing complex compensation models, scenario analyses, and extensive workforce analyses.
• Familiarity with modern analytics, data, and AI-enabled tools (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma Computing, Claude Code, or similar platforms) to derive insights, enhance efficiency, and bolster compensation decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills, business judgment, and executive presence, with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
