This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the design and implementation of capabilities for regulatory compliance and enablement.
• Manage a specific portfolio of initiatives related to regulatory and compliance enablement.
• Convert enterprise priorities and regulatory demands into actionable roadmaps, governance standards, and implementation strategies.
• Spot opportunities to enhance compliance maturity and the effectiveness of controls.
• Lead the execution of designated compliance and governance initiatives.
• Provide expertise to ensure all regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
• Influence cross-functional teams to address challenges and align priorities effectively.
• Drive the design and implementation of practices for monitoring, metrics, reporting, and evidence collection.
• Utilize data and insights to identify gaps and support audit, regulatory, and leadership reporting.
• Promote process standardization and automation.
• Directly manage and develop a small team, setting priorities and offering coaching.
• Balance daily operational oversight with strategic problem-solving.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital risk, governance, compliance, internal controls, or related areas.
• Proven experience in leading teams or managing complex cross-functional compliance and transformation projects.
• Experience in designing or operating compliance programs, internal controls, regulatory frameworks, or audit support processes in complex enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and continuous assurance practices in the domains of cybersecurity, data integrity, fraud prevention, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in designing scalable governance frameworks, control standards, and compliance operating models for intricate enterprise environments.
• Ability to convert regulatory and contractual requirements into actionable business processes, automated monitoring, and measurable performance indicators.
• Strong communication and influencing abilities, with a capacity to collaborate with senior leadership, transformation teams, and control stakeholders.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment and drive execution across cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory/compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, RMF, SOX, DFARS, CMMC.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of an interview is required to qualify for the position.
