This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +25 more states.
• Lead and expand a team of Platform and DevOps engineers; establish direction, mentor, recruit, and remain actively involved for part of the week.
• Take ownership of the AWS platform from start to finish, encompassing infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, environments, observability, incident response, and cloud cost management.
• Drive the Agentic Software Development Lifecycle (ASDLC) practices to ensure AI tools are secure, aligned, and consistently improving.
• Facilitate automated verification with integrated tests for both web and mobile releases.
• Provide deployment environments and CI pipelines that adapt to agent-generated changes.
• Assess and enhance delivery systems, focusing on CI duration, code review, and quality assurance.
• Create written alignment with product and engineering leaders regarding the platform roadmap and investment considerations.
• Proven experience as a hands-on Platform or DevOps engineer who has transitioned into a leadership role.
• Experience in managing engineering teams while actively delivering software.
• Background in leading teams through on-call responsibilities, incident responses, platform expansion, and AI/agentic transformations.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS, infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes, and Postgres.
• Production experience managing a large web and mobile application landscape.
• Familiarity with implementing coding agents and LLM tooling throughout the software lifecycle, including CI integration, evaluation, safeguards, and cost management.
• Proven ability to enhance organizational adoption of coding agents and LLM tooling.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD principles and regression suite platform coverage.
• Capability to shift engineering teams from manual to automated testing practices.
• Proficiency in delivery and reliability metrics.
• Excellent writing skills for proposals and decision documentation in a remote and asynchronous work environment.
• Demonstrated history of independently leveraging generative AI to enhance both personal and team productivity.
