Senior Manager, Decision Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Develop statistical models and various predictive models as necessary to enhance our risk position (including fraud and credit), pricing strategies, and overall profitability.

• Assist in establishing a Model Development Framework, documenting the methodology that the Risk Management team will employ to ensure a consistent and stable modeling process at Trevipay.

• Oversee the outcomes of risk and pricing strategies by assessing performance against expectations.

• Evaluate customer usage, competitor pricing, and market trends to boost market share and profitability.

• Access, clean, and analyze pertinent internal and external data to support the development, monitoring, and enhancement of effective B2B credit risk management and pricing strategies for new account origination and existing account management.

• Create or improve the Portfolio Risk Assessment reporting package, detailing Key Risk Indicators, trends, and projections for presentation to the executive leadership team.

• Provide and communicate high-quality data-driven analyses to key stakeholders and senior management that yield crucial insights leading to actionable results.

• Perform data exploration, validation, and audits to identify and resolve data quality issues while recommending enhancements.

• Assist Engineering and Product teams in overcoming roadblocks and managing interdependencies.

• Support internal and external Data Scientists with subject matter expertise and provide clean, actionable datasets to facilitate the growth of predictive and advanced analytical capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.

• At least 8 years of demonstrated experience in a highly analytical environment, conducting complex business analyses, generating data-driven insights, and presenting findings to leadership and other stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of B2B credit and/or Business Banking credit risk, pricing, and profitability principles.

• Capacity to manage ambiguity and adapt workload according to shifting priorities.

• Proficient in extracting, cleansing, merging, and analyzing data from diverse internal and external sources.

• Strong analytical and data simulation abilities, including proficiency in SAS, Python, MS Excel, Tableau/Sisense, or similar analytical and reporting/data visualization tools.

• Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.

• Experience in analyzing data segments or utilizing tools to identify and clarify patterns, trends, and/or process enhancements.

• Capability to create clear, concise graphs, charts, reports, and presentations that summarize analytical results and justify suggested improvements.

• High-performing contributor with the ability to collaborate across functions with management, product, technology, compliance, and enterprise risk.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field of study.

• Strong understanding of B2B and/or Business Banking credit product pricing and profitability principles.

• Experience in statistical modeling (e.g., logistic regression, machine learning, SVM, etc.).

• Previous leadership or management experience.
