This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of and implement the AI product strategy and roadmap focusing on document intelligence, workflow automation, and decision-making processes.
• Integrate AI thoroughly into the mortgage Point of Sale, improving the experiences of both borrowers and loan officers.
• Lead and nurture a small team of AI and data engineers, providing direction and eliminating obstacles.
• Collaborate across various functions including Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience to ensure AI initiatives align with the larger product ecosystem.
• Design, define, and deliver AI-powered features, managing the process from concept to production and ongoing iterations.
• Assess vendors, models, and tools while maintaining a strong perspective on the trade-offs between building in-house versus purchasing.
• Create frameworks for the intake, prioritization, and delivery of AI features.
• Ensure robust data foundations by working together on pipelines, schemas, and data quality initiatives.
• Work with a sense of urgency—delivering quickly, learning from production, and continuously iterating.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years in developing and launching AI/ML products in live environments.
• Proven success in delivering AI features from start to finish—covering problem definition, deployment, and iterative improvements.
• Experience in leading or mentoring AI and/or data engineers in a practical, hands-on capacity.
• Strong technical proficiency: familiar with APIs, model evaluation, and engaging directly with ML engineers.
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles: pipelines, schemas, data quality, and the necessary supporting infrastructure.
• Familiarity with LLM-based systems (prompting, RAG, document intelligence, etc.).
• Demonstrated capability to deliver quickly, iterate in production, and learn through active execution.
• Exceptional product craftsmanship: produces clear specifications, leads cross-functional alignment, and effectively communicates with executives.
• Strong leadership skills across Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
• Data-driven decision-maker with a clear discipline in prioritization and an ability to assess trade-offs effectively.
