
Senior Manager – Customer Identity & Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Lead and nurture a team comprising software engineers, cloud engineers, and product owners.
• Define and implement the technology roadmap for CIAM, backend services, and shared platform capabilities.
• Design, construct, and manage secure backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Support digital products including websites, mobile applications, customer registration, warranty, and service.
• Oversee the architecture and operation of cloud-native solutions and shared services hosted on AWS.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities that can be leveraged by multiple product teams.
• Establish engineering best practices in areas such as DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, reliability, and platform performance.
• Collaborate with teams from Product Management, Digital Experience, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and Data.
• Ensure that customer identity, backend services, and cloud platforms comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Drive modernization of the platform, enhance engineering efficiency, and decrease technical debt.
• Coach and mentor engineers while promoting a collaborative and accountable engineering culture.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or platform engineering.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge in Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM).
• Expertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and contemporary identity platforms.
• Experience in designing and developing cloud-native backend applications, REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Extensive experience in designing and managing solutions on AWS, covering compute, networking, storage, databases, messaging, and monitoring services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized applications, and modern cloud architecture.
• Strong grasp of secure software development and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across various teams while balancing business priorities with engineering quality.
• A practical, collaborative leadership style with a commitment to developing talent and delivering dependable technology.
