Senior Manager – Commercial Data Product, Pharma, Life Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Life Sciences stakeholders to comprehend business needs and convert them into analytical solutions.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive commercial data product for a kidney launch, overseeing everything from vision to implementation.

• Convert launch strategy into segmentation frameworks, key performance indicators (KPIs), and data products utilized by commercial leadership.

• Foster stakeholder alignment across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Analytics.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with launch milestones. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop Snowflake-native data models that are optimized for scalability and reuse.

• Maintain a robust understanding of Power BI semantic models (measures, relationships, performance).

• Facilitate self-service analytics via well-structured datasets—not just dashboards.

• Implement KPI governance, track adoption, and establish success metrics for the product.

• Lead a small, cross-functional team (data engineers, analysts).

• Function within an agile delivery framework with defined sprint outcomes and visibility for executives.

• Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in commercial analytics, data product management, or analytics consulting within the pharma/life sciences sector.

• Extensive experience and domain expertise in gene therapy, including familiarity with relevant processes, workflows, and industry applications.

• Strong background in pharma launches, specifically in segmentation, performance tracking, and KPI design.

• Practical knowledge of Snowflake (data modeling and performance considerations).

• In-depth understanding of the Power BI semantic layer and visualization techniques.

• Demonstrated experience in managing product backlogs and steering roadmap execution.

• Capability to work independently in greenfield or build-from-scratch environments.
