Senior Manager, Clinical Trial Payments – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manages site contracts, grants, and financial transactions with full-service CRO partnerships.

• Responsible for the operational execution of budgets, payments, reconciliation, and financial controls for studies.

• Ensures timely funding for CROs, supporting accruals, reconciliation, and readiness for inspections.

• Accountable for the ongoing management, oversight, assessment, and reconciliation of contracts and grants at the study level.

• Develops and enforces policies regarding invoiceables, pass-throughs, conditional procedures, handling of screen failures, and complex visit structures.

• Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) related to budgeting, payments, documentation, and global transparency standards.

• Possesses an understanding of global study budget forecasts while collaborating closely with Clinical Operations and Finance teams.

• Implements and oversees just-in-time CRO funding to reduce idle cash at CROs and ensure timely payments to sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in finance, life sciences, business, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of pertinent experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO roles with direct oversight of site budgeting and payment processes.

• Proven ability to interpret clinical protocols and translate them into comprehensive, compliant global site budgets.

• Strong knowledge of global Fair Market Value (FMV) frameworks and Sunshine/Open Payments transparency regulations.

• Capability to analyze financial statements, accruals, and impacts on cash flow.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-functional influencing skills.

• Preferred experience in supporting Oncology-related diseases.

• Preferred experience in managing global payment models across various regulatory environments.
