Senior Manager, Clinical Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of pharmaceuticals by contributing to predictive modeling of disease traits and therapeutic responses.

• Facilitate and enhance the processing and analysis of complex, high-dimensional multimodal data, which includes clinical, imaging, genomics, and additional datasets.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, Translational Sciences teams, and the IT department.

• Provide support for initiatives within the clinical drug development pipeline.

• Actively suggest initiatives and enhancements in data processing, analysis, and deployment.

• Design and implement visual analytics and predictive models within web-based interfaces.

• Develop, implement, and maintain data engineering and data science platforms.

• Create front-end interfaces for statistical models.

• Develop and deploy tools in cloud environments and distributed computing systems.

• Oversee and coordinate with IT/software engineering teams to ensure secure and compliant tools and applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in two or more programming languages such as R, Python, Shell scripting, among others.

• Experience in data engineering and handling unstructured data (text, imaging, or omics) from various real-world sources.

• Familiarity with advanced data science methodologies and tools for implementing predictive machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing (NLP).

• Proven experience in setting up analysis pipelines (genomics, imaging, etc.) on cloud servers and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.

• High proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as a variety of tools within the AWS ecosystem.

• Demonstrated ability to creatively design and deploy visual analytics and predictive models in web-based interfaces using platforms like Streamlit, R-Shiny, or similar.

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.

• A Master’s Degree is mandatory.

• Preferred fields of study include Engineering or Computer Science.

• A solid track record of developing, deploying, and supporting data engineering and data science platforms.

• Experience in creating front-end interfaces (Web servers) for statistical models.

• Knowledge of developing and deploying cloud-based tools or working within distributed computing environments (HPC clusters).

• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

• Experience with cutting-edge agentic AI is preferred but not required.

• Experience in managing and coordinating with IT/Software engineering teams to maintain secure and compliant tools and applications is preferred but not mandatory.
