This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop, implement, and sustain a robust compliance management program.
• Create and update an auditing framework along with compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness and health of the compliance program.
• Facilitate and oversee vendor, state, and client audits.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, perform business analysis, and implement corrective action plans to address any identified deficiencies.
• Carry out quarterly audits concerning privacy compliance and security.
• Ensure that vendors adhere to audit compliance and performance standards.
• Analyze contracts to confirm compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organizational policies.
• Oversee the organization’s SOC I and II compliance program, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and client expectations.
• Develop and implement processes to uphold SOC II certification.
• Interpret evolving regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
• Offer guidance regarding compliance risks linked to current projects and devise mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with business management and key stakeholders to comprehend and communicate compliance requirements.
• Aid in compliance training for internal departments and organizational leadership.
• Respond to state and client inquiries about the compliance program and its initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or operational quality control.
• Proven ability to interpret and simplify complex legal and regulatory information.
• Strong understanding of regulations affecting the automotive finance and titling industry is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience with SOC I and II compliance and associated frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive writing abilities.
• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or a similar certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.

• Capable of executing responsibilities successfully and with high quality within necessary timeframes to meet business objectives.
