
Senior Manager, Benefit Verification – Authorization Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and expand the Benefit Verification and Authorization (BVA) service by converting business objectives into actionable operational plans and execution.
• Create scalable processes, workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ownership models, handoffs, and operating rhythms.
• Assess, streamline, standardize, automate, and redesign operational processes.
• Set expectations and metrics for quality, productivity, service levels, capacity, and overall performance.
• Generate reports and establish operating cadences while utilizing operational data to unveil trends, root causes, enhancements, and impacts.
• Collaborate with Managers and Team Leads to identify performance gaps and formulate sustainable solutions.
• Work alongside AI Engineering to discover automation opportunities, convert operational challenges into technical use cases, test new functionalities, and guide implementation.
• Define and enhance BVA customer onboarding, continuous service delivery, communication, feedback, and escalation protocols.
• Mentor and develop BVA Managers and other leaders, fostering accountability and leadership growth.
• Represent BVA's operational needs throughout the organization, articulating challenges, priorities, and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Over 7 years of experience in operations, service delivery, revenue cycle management, customer operations, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of experience in leading people leaders, including Managers and/or Team Leads.
• Proven experience in building, standardizing, and enhancing operational processes within a dynamic or evolving environment.
• Experience in managing complex operations by utilizing performance metrics, quality measures, and operational data to inform decisions.
• Ability to recognize operational deficiencies, identify root causes, and implement scalable solutions.
• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with teams beyond the immediate organization.
• Background in developing or refining customer onboarding, implementation, or ongoing service delivery processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across frontline teams, leadership, customers, and technical partners.
• Capacity to lead through uncertainty, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives from problem identification to implementation.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Direct experience with healthcare revenue cycle operations, benefit verification, and/or prior authorization will be addressed in the application questions.
