This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic guidance and leadership for a diverse portfolio of intricate client engagements, encompassing multi-entity consolidations, high-volume transactional environments, and rapidly growing businesses.
• Direct the design, execution, and enhancement of outsourced accounting functions, including month-end close processes, internal controls, and financial reporting systems customized to client specifications.
• Ensure the delivery of precise and timely financial statements, dashboards, and KPI reporting to aid clients in operational and strategic decision-making.
• Assist clients in navigating financial transformation projects, including system upgrades, process automation, and scaling finance functions in preparation for growth or exit readiness.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to client leadership teams, providing proactive insights regarding budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and business performance evaluation.
• Maintain accountability for excellence in client service, ensuring that deliverables consistently align with engagement scope, deadlines, and budget constraints.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture accounting managers, seniors, and associates, promoting their professional development and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
• Serve as the primary contact for technical accounting challenges, offering thoughtful and well-documented solutions in compliance with GAAP and other pertinent frameworks.
• Develop, oversee, and refine engagement budgets and pricing strategies to ensure profitability while delivering exceptional client value.
• Foster long-term client relationships by thoroughly understanding their businesses, anticipating their needs, and supporting their financial growth strategies.
• Drive business development by identifying cross-service opportunities, contributing to proposals, and engaging in client onboarding and scoping.
• Advocate for process improvements both within the client service model and internal firm operations, utilizing technology and best practices for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Represent the outsourced accounting team in cross-functional firm initiatives, collaborating with tax, advisory, and assurance colleagues to provide integrated solutions.
• Encourage ongoing learning and technical development through team training, coaching, and personal knowledge sharing.
• Exhibit exceptional time and engagement management skills, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes for multiple, concurrent priorities.
• Perform additional duties and demonstrate flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities as assigned by firm leadership.
• Achieve annual billable hour and other targets to meet individual performance expectations and overall firm productivity.
• 8+ years of experience in general accounting.
• CPA license or eligibility (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Extensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting frameworks, and internal control structures across various industries and entity types.
• Demonstrated ability to lead financial transformation initiatives, including the implementation of scalable accounting processes, systems, and automation tools.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software platforms and associated reporting or workflow tools.
• Proven success in managing client portfolios with intricate needs, multi-entity structures, and diverse reporting cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels.
• High attention to detail coupled with strategic thinking and the ability to link financial data to broader business objectives.
• Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage concurrent engagements, allocate resources efficiently, and meet critical deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving approach, able to identify process improvement opportunities and lead successful implementations.
• Business advisory mindset, skilled at translating financial data into actionable insights to support client decision-making.
