Long Term Disability Claims Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for making precise decisions regarding designated claims through proactive case management.

• Collaborate with fellow team members and the Professional Resource Team to support claimants in their return-to-work initiatives.

• Employ problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to provide timely and appropriate decisions on disability claims.

• Work alongside colleagues to expand and enhance their understanding of complex claim management.

• Manage claims across various group sizes, ranging from small to large markets.

• Assess integrated income to guarantee accurate financial risk management and payments.

• Ensure compliance with all plan provisions throughout the claim duration.

• Consult with legal, investigative resources, and financial experts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent work/educational experience.

• Experience in Regulatory and Compliance is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to exercise independent and sound judgment in decision-making processes.

• Proficiency in analyzing evidence for inconsistencies.

• Ability to conduct research utilizing various techniques.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with multiple professional disciplines and diverse populations.

• Basic computer skills and knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical conditions is beneficial.
