This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide the team through the processes of architecture, implementation, production launches, and rapid iterations.
• Remain actively involved: assess designs and code, analyze traces, troubleshoot production issues, evaluate prototypes, and assist engineers in making practical trade-offs.
• Convert Agent OS strategy into tangible platform segments that can be delivered swiftly without developing unique agent solutions.
• Establish platform agreements for role shells, capabilities, tools, actions, approvals, context, memory, evidence, and assessment.
• Incorporate evaluation as a routine part of engineering: design scenarios, manage regression suites, review traces, conduct simulations, monitor production, set quality gates, and establish rollout criteria.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional engineers who can develop rapidly, think critically, and operate judiciously in a dynamic AI landscape.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 4 years in leadership roles for engineering teams or significant technical projects within a product or platform setting.
• A solid technical foundation as a builder.
• Recent hands-on technical leadership: you have directly reviewed design documentation, examined implementation specifics, analyzed production traces/logs, or debugged system behavior within the last 6–12 months.
• Proven experience in delivering AI, ML, data, platform, infrastructure, workflow, automation, or developer-platform systems in a production environment.
• Practical knowledge of modern LLM application architecture, including model gateways, prompt/context assembly, retrieval, tool invocation, structured outputs, memory, agent workflows, and human approval patterns.
• Strong instincts regarding production agent safety, including typed tools, scoped permissions, business invariants, precondition checks, approval thresholds, reversible actions, idempotency, audit trails, and rollback mechanisms.
• Production-oriented mindset towards evaluation: scenario design, behavioral evaluations, regression suites, trace analysis, simulations, offline/online metrics, and monitoring for non-deterministic systems.
• Excellent engineering judgment across APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, data platforms, observability, reliability, security, and multi-tenant SaaS constraints.
• Strong instincts related to data and context, including SQL, unstructured data, vector search, metadata, provenance, source authority, freshness, and privacy boundaries.
• Capability to transform ambiguous strategies into sequenced roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and distinct ownership.
• Effective communication skills with engineers, product leaders, architects, security partners, and executives.
• A coaching style characterized by low ego.
• Flexible time off along with numerous learning and development opportunities to advance your career.
• Comprehensive onboarding program.
• Leadership training available for Titans at every level.
• Outstanding performance is recognized through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and additional incentives.
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage fully paid by the company (with 100% employer-paid options and 90% coverage for dependents).
• FSA and HSA options.
• 401k matching.
• Telehealth services including memberships to One Medical.
• Parental leave and additional support.
• Up to $20k available for fertility services (i.e., IUI and IVF), surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement.
• On-demand maternity support provided through Maven Maternity.
• Free breast milk shipping facilitated by Maven Milk.
• Pet insurance options.
• Legal advisory services available.
• Financial planning tools offered.
