Senior Manager – Agile Practice Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate programs, portfolios, and collaborative initiatives involving business, product, technology, operations, compliance, and delivery teams.

• Convert enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones, governance frameworks, and quantifiable outcomes.

• Direct portfolio sequencing, prioritize trade-offs, conduct resource planning, and provide funding recommendations.

• Manage delivery commitments concerning scope, schedule, budget, quality, dependencies, risks, issues, and decision-making processes.

• Create and enhance agile governance standards, delivery practices, tools, templates, reporting expectations, and operational rhythms.

• Promote the adoption of agile principles, product-focused delivery methodologies, Product Development Lifecycle standards, and portfolio governance practices.

• Investigate emerging agile concepts, benchmarks, industry standards, and delivery models.

• Anticipate enterprise-level risks and systemic delivery challenges; formulate path-to-green plans and strategies.

• Establish metrics, dashboards, portfolio reporting, and executive summaries.

• Transform complex delivery information into succinct, executive-ready narratives.

• Ensure audit, regulatory, financial, and operational readiness through documentation, controls, and delivery governance.

• Counsel senior leaders, product owners, business partners, and delivery teams.

• Foster cross-functional alignment across matrixed teams by clarifying ownership, decision rights, dependencies, communication channels, and escalation paths.

• Persuade stakeholders to reach consensus on priorities, delivery models, governance expectations, and change adoption.

• Articulate recommendations and actionable next steps to large and senior audiences.

• Coach and mentor project managers, scrum masters, delivery leads, and cross-functional partners.

• Advocate for self-organization, accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Navigate through ambiguity and change during shifting priorities or high-risk delivery periods.

• Develop reusable standards, playbooks, templates, and governance artifacts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Agile and/or Project Management collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• More than 5 years of experience leading program delivery efforts within a large organization.

• At least 2 years of experience managing a team of project managers/scrum masters.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies.

• Experience in budget forecasting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft tools, work management tools like JIRA, and budget management tools.

• Preferred experience of 5+ years managing Medicare technology initiatives.

• Scrum Master and/or PMP certification is desirable.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with specialized training or relevant professional qualifications.
