Senior Machine Learning Scientist – LLM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop machine learning solutions addressing significant societal challenges.

• Provide mentorship to fellow team members in this initiative.

• Engage with stakeholders to define critical requirements, articulate problems, and facilitate the development and implementation of algorithms and solutions.

• Comprehend user challenges and contexts, curate and transform data, train and validate models, create evaluations and benchmarks, conduct simulations, and extract comprehensive insights from data.

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams that include engineering, solutions, domain experts, and designers.

• Work alongside social sector organizations and researchers globally.

• Propel fundamental advancements in technology domains as part of application efforts.

• Present findings in technical and other relevant forums, and publish work in esteemed conferences and journals.

• Engage with external partners and make periodic visits to the communities from which challenges originate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a relevant quantitative discipline with at least 6 years of relevant work experience OR a Master’s degree in these fields with 4+ years of relevant experience OR a Ph.D. in Machine Learning focused on LLMs from a recognized institution.

• Machine Learning Scientists with experience in applying AI, machine learning, and data science to tackle real-world problems.

• Strong foundation in research.

• Experience mentoring junior researchers through robust coding practices and ideation.

• Proficient in various data mining and analysis methods and tools, model building and implementation, data visualization, algorithm creation/usage, and simulation execution.

• Familiarity with prominent deep learning algorithms, transformer architectures, and advancements in LLMs or foundation models.

• Experience in constructing and assessing conversational (multi-turn) chatbots is advantageous.

• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.

• Evidence of strong writing skills demonstrated through high-quality research publications is a plus.
