Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Content ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to automate the moderation and review of content on Canva.

• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to steer the technical vision while managing the breakdown and execution of large-scale projects.

• Design, develop, and roll out solutions through hands-on software development, working closely with team leads, designers, and product managers.

• Cultivate a productive and healthy team environment by promoting a robust code review culture, sharing knowledge, showcasing design work, and enhancing processes.

• Encourage a safe and healthy workplace culture that prioritizes collaboration and open communication, while representing engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders in the group.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and enhancement in the area managed by the team.

• (optional) Mentor members of your Machine Learning team and assist them in overcoming technical challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a machine learning engineering role within a Product/SaaS company.

• Proficiency in understanding text, images, video, and audio is highly desirable.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and other business functions outside of engineering is required.

• Demonstrated experience in proposing automation initiatives that involve human oversight and following through to completion.
