Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Utilize genAI for online research and automating tasks

• Create scalable, cost-effective, and resilient solutions within AWS or GCP

• Design, integrate, and enhance comprehensive AI pipelines with a data-driven methodology

• Develop and oversee ML infrastructure along with CI/CD pipelines to back data products

• Offer engineering mentorship and support to data scientists

• Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers/scientists, product, and operations teams

• Work alongside data quality teams to establish data annotation and evaluation pipelines, monitoring solutions, and dashboards

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated competence in transforming ideas into scalable production systems with a focus on cost efficiency

• Familiarity with genAI frameworks and agentic development

• Proficient in asynchronous and batch APIs for GenAI, web search, etc.

• Over 4 years of professional software development experience, showcasing strong programming skills in Python and excellent debugging capabilities

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in cloud development, ideally with AWS

• At least 2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in similar roles

• Current knowledge of the latest ML innovations and frameworks

• Experience in automating infrastructure and provisioning with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools

• Expertise in ML Operationalization, including workflow/model management platforms

• Strong Data Engineering skills, including experience with data pipelines and ETLs

• Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and relevant distributed computing for training and inference

• Excellent collaboration abilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills in English
