Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and implementation of sophisticated machine learning models and scalable systems that drive essential business decisions.

• Construct production-ready machine learning solutions characterized by thorough testing and scalable architecture.

• Enhance forecasting and optimization models utilizing XGBoost and advanced machine learning methodologies.

• Develop data pipelines and machine learning workflows that convert raw data into actionable business insights.

• Transition research into practical applications through experimentation, iteration, and deployment.

• Incorporate machine learning systems into actual business operations and user-facing applications.

• Lead initiatives for model explainability utilizing SHAP values and insights powered by large language models.

• Work collaboratively with Growth, Marketing Science, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Shape technical strategy while ensuring alignment of machine learning initiatives with business outcomes.

• Guide team members and contribute to the elevation of engineering and machine learning standards throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in a production environment.

• Profound knowledge in Python, SQL, and contemporary machine learning frameworks.

• Proven experience with XGBoost, forecasting models, and scalable machine learning pipelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of MLOps, testing methodologies, CI/CD, and data engineering practices.

• Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, MLFlow, or similar cloud-based machine learning tools.

• Strong grasp of the machine learning lifecycle, experimentation frameworks, and model optimization techniques.

• Capacity to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in growth, marketing, e-commerce, or high-scale digital environments is highly advantageous.
