Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold machine learning standards, processes, and best practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and strategize for the enterprise machine learning portfolio requirements.

• Provide guidance to machine learning team members regarding their deliverables and activities.

• Convert complex requirements into well-defined machine learning projects.

• Design and develop machine learning applications in accordance with specified requirements.

• Ensure that machine learning solutions are scalable to fulfill enterprise demands.

• Work closely with data scientists and data engineers to oversee the development of machine learning models.

• Create performance metrics to consistently evaluate the effectiveness of machine learning solutions.

• Enhance existing machine learning libraries and frameworks when necessary.

• Carry out individual project tasks with a sense of urgency and high-quality standards.

• Clearly and effectively communicate status updates using departmental project management tools.

• Adhere to time-tracking and other project management protocols.

• Actively participate in project meetings, stand-ups, and other collaborative sessions.

• Act as the technical lead for moderately complex projects, working alongside project managers to ensure effective management of project scope, risks, budgets, and more.

• Facilitate project meetings and workgroups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in a relevant job discipline.

• Preferred: Experience in additional IT roles or functions such as quality assurance/testing, development, enterprise architecture, or project management.

• Proven ability to manage large-scale data science projects and diverse teams.

• Preferred: At least 3 years of relevant project experience in successfully launching, planning, and executing machine learning projects.

• Preferred: Experience working on projects utilizing Agile or iterative methodologies.

• Preferred: Specialization in machine learning, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, or data science.

• Preferred: Expertise in text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, or other specialized machine learning techniques such as deep learning.
