Senior Machine Learning Developer

Posted 9 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and integrate machine learning models for on-device inference within the QSIDS detection engine.

• Refine models to optimize performance and adhere to resource limitations, minimizing memory usage, latency, and computational demands on-device.

• Work closely with systems engineers to ensure efficient integration of models into a Go-based engine.

• Manage models through to production, taking ownership once they are operational, monitoring performance, identifying drift, and making iterative improvements to maintain reliability.

• Partner with stakeholders to establish milestones and confirm that timelines meet development requirements.

• Engage in discussions regarding technological choices and decisions related to product development.

• Address anomalies and issues promptly as they occur.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ML and other technologies and best practices, while avoiding the temptation to chase after every trend.

• Assist in onboarding and training new team members as the team expands.

• Clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models to production, including their operation and monitoring in live environments.

• Proven experience in managing models post-deployment: overseeing performance, detecting drift, and iterating on production systems.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

• Experience in embedding ML models for on-device inference (a significant advantage for this role).

• Proficiency in high-performance, low-resource systems programming (memory management, multithreading, optimization), preferably in Go or a similar systems language.

• Bilingual in French and English.

• Experience in a startup environment.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

🏝️ Benefits

• Enjoy up to six weeks of paid time off annually, as we prioritize your work-life balance.

• Comprehensive health benefits, including:

• Life insurance

• Short- and long-term disability

• Paramedical and telemedicine services

• Health Spending Account (HSA)
