This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Collaborate with fellow members of Modaxo’s M&A practice to discover, assess, and implement transactions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and other dealings across all business segments.
• Perform comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses related to all transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to carry out all confirmatory due diligence activities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the target company during the transaction closing process.
• Work in close collaboration with third-party advisors and internal stakeholders from various business units, acting as the “quarterback” on transactions.
• Assess all new transaction prospects, prepare investment briefing documents, and present high-quality acquisition candidates to Modaxo’s investment committee to support decision-making processes.
• Actively engage with business owners to measure their interest in potential transactions.
• Efficiently manage a pipeline of acquisition targets to ensure a steady deal flow and align on strategic priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field is preferred.
• Familiarity with different business models and essential financial principles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capable of organizing, facilitating, and managing a diverse pipeline of projects at the same time.
• Self-motivated with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to influence and guide individuals towards achieving business objectives.
• Competent in working across functions in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Capable of executing and managing complex, multi-faceted deals from start to finish.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a transferable role.
