Senior M365 Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Operate within an ITIL framework with a significant emphasis on DevOps, automation, and sustaining engineering.

• Act as a member of the Microsoft 365 Engineering Team, providing engineering support for the Microsoft 365 tenant and associated services in a hybrid environment.

• Oversee email, messaging, collaboration, meeting, and user-management services.

• Create solutions, methodologies, or provide recommendations to address a variety of complex challenges.

• Function as a mentor for Junior Engineers.

• Present information and produce well-crafted technical documentation tailored to the customer’s environment.

• Engage in scrum sprint activities related to Microsoft 365 engineering, automation, email, messaging, and collaboration.

• Troubleshoot and work collaboratively with other technical teams to resolve all supported technical issues.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance user experience, service reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Offer consultation on the design, planning, and execution of Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related service integrations.

• Engineer, deploy, automate, and provide ongoing engineering support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and over 8 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust or higher security clearance.

• Experience in implementing and administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Apps, Intune, Entra ID, and hybrid Microsoft 365 environments.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security Services, Microsoft Defender capabilities, Conditional Access, identity protection, endpoint security, and secure service configuration.

• Proven knowledge of Microsoft 365 support technologies, which include but are not limited to Active Directory, DirSync, Entra Connect, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Entra, Conditional Access Policies, MFA, PIM, application registrations, and hybrid identity services.

• General understanding of Microsoft 365 service administration, Exchange Online mail flow, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Entra, endpoint management, routing, and related security appliances or services.

• Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and scripting/programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, or related technologies.
