This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee engineering initiatives for plant uprate projects, encompassing feasibility studies, system assessments, and comprehensive design.
• Act as the main technical authority regarding uprate strategies, methodologies, and system implications.
• Offer guidance and mentorship across the electrical and instrumentation engineering fields.
• Conduct and assess instrumentation calculations to guarantee precision and dependability under uprated plant conditions.
• Lead technical evaluations of transmitter applications and installations.
• Analyze and verify flow measurement calculations.
• Review and authorize instrument setpoints and scaling adjustments necessary for uprate operations.
• Assist in evaluating the impact on control systems.
• Supervise instrumentation documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
• A minimum of 8–15 years of pertinent experience in power generation or heavy industry.
• Proven experience with:
• Power system analysis and ETAP modeling.
• Instrumentation calculations and transmitter applications.
• Knowledge of plant electrical and I&C systems.
• Technical leadership in complex engineering projects.
• PE license preferred or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience with plant uprates or significant capacity increases.
• Expertise in instrument uncertainty, setpoint methodologies, and flow measurement.
• Experience in the nuclear industry (EPU, MUR, or similar uprates).
• Familiarity with control systems and process automation platforms.
