Senior Loan Processor, Retail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Evaluate loan submissions, oversee incoming documents, and confirm data gathered by Loan Officers or agents.

• Acquire loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, and additional information necessary for processing and finalizing mortgage loan files.

• Systematically organize and enter loan data into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).

• Keep files open, request appraisals, send verifications, and obtain borrower and property documentation.

• Ensure the quality of work and adherence to Company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.

• Process loans to comply with Company and investor standards.

• Liaise with escrow, settlement, title, realtor, closing, appraisal management, sales, loan officer, operations, disclosure, underwriting, and docs/funding teams to address issues.

• Update loan officers, agents, and borrowers on discrepancies and the status of loans.

• Analyze and assess credit information to gauge eligibility for loan programs.

• Retrieve or verify credit reports and flood certificates.

• Forward completed files to the Underwriting Department for approval.

• Comprehensive understanding of all elements of mortgage loan processing and underwriting standards.

• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong capability in operating office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Extremely high level of organizational proficiency.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Ability to maintain consistent communication with borrowers and internal office personnel.

• Capacity to handle highly confidential borrower information in line with the Company’s privacy policy.
