Senior Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct a comprehensive examination and assessment of the borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets as mandated by the specific loan program prior to submitting to underwriting.

• Compile the complete loan package in the correct sequence for underwriting.

• Validate all necessary documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.

• Complete the required loan checklist.

• Ensure that an application is accurate and complete; identify any potential issues that may emerge during underwriting.

• Prepare a loan approval summary, along with Forms 1008 and 1003, and verify the accuracy of all details on these documents.

• Engage directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter to gather initial and any outstanding documentation required for loan qualification.

• Review loans for adherence to all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare necessary disclosures.

• Coordinate with various companies to secure Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information.

• Confirm that vendor orders are complete, invoices are received, and are in the applicant’s E-file.

• Manage the pipeline by generating and submitting reports within designated turnaround times.

• Assist in the setup of loans.

• Document all communications related to the loan application in the conversation log.

• Train and support new loan processors and other processing staff.

• Aid in closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to resolve and clear outstanding suspense items from CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC. investors.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Familiarity with RESPA regulations and a general understanding of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, as well as loan documents, is preferred.

• Strong math and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to work varying hours and overtime as necessary.

• Experience with Encompass.
