Senior Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the initiative to secure loans with new partners, aligning with strategic objectives to expand the overall loan portfolio that effectively supports and enhances the Ethena protocol's requirements.

• Act as the main point of contact for Ethena’s secured lending partnerships, serving as a trusted consultant to capital allocators and institutional partners.

• Advocate within the trading team for the expansion of the secured lending allocation of USDe's backing assets.

• Develop innovative secured loan structures in collaboration with Ethena’s diverse partners, including exchanges, custodians, brokerages, and trading firms, ensuring alignment with the protocol's risk profile to deliver distinctive product outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, or financial market risk analysis.

• Background in secured lending, particularly in the digital asset sector through loan issuance/origination with market makers, crypto-focused trading firms, prime brokerage, securities financing, or leveraged institutional clients.

• In-depth knowledge of the secured lending landscape within the digital asset domain, encompassing institutional, CeFi, and DeFi levels.

• Demonstrated capability to negotiate the terms of lending agreements and finalize intricate deals swiftly with a variety of counterparties.

• Strong financial and quantitative analytical abilities to assess collateral frameworks and portfolio exposures, enabling clear communication of credit insights and updates to risk teams, investment teams, and high-net-worth stakeholders.

• Comfort in a high-trust, flat organizational structure that values asynchronous communication and fosters independent creativity.
