Senior Litigation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leverage your expertise in claims handling to drive successful outcomes on intricate and litigated claims by guiding independent contributors, direct managers, and facilitating high-stakes claim discussions. Manage various roles and responsibilities while providing leadership to other Claims Leaders.

• Efficiently oversee multiple departmental relationships within a complex, matrixed organization of a large international insurance group.

• Collaborate with key team members and cross-functional business partners (Product, Legal, Actuarial, Engineering, Information Systems) to effectively utilize and enhance existing litigation data and insights.

• Partner with internal team members and cross-functional associates in our Data Science group to ensure delivery of litigation data to the Claims Organization for diverse use cases.

• Manage the vendor portfolio associated with third-party legal services. Cultivate strong relationships, drive outstanding results, and meet cost objectives in this area.

• Work closely with internal Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management teams to ensure consistent execution of SOX controls and third-party audits on behalf of major capital providers. Conduct monthly audits of litigation files to elevate our collective litigation claims work product through thorough evaluations.

• Facilitate essential communication regarding complex and litigated claims to all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA Degree required

• Over 10 years of experience in Claims Operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role

• Expertise in Commercial General Liability claims and policy interpretation, providing insights on construction defect issues and managing large loss and highly complex property damage and bodily injury claims.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation abilities

• Data-oriented mindset with the capability to leverage insights to identify trends and drive significant business outcomes

• Proven history of effectively addressing unique and challenging business issues

• Experience managing multiple distributed teams, ideally in a fully remote or hybrid setting

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

• Team-oriented approach that prioritizes the cultivation of strong professional relationships and contributes to a positive work culture
