• Oversee and implement solutions related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) with minimal oversight across various jurisdictions to ensure a secure and healthy work environment for all Remote employees, while emphasizing a superior experience for Remote’s clients and staff.
• Act as an internal resource for both routine and non-routine OHS inquiries, offering guidance to junior team members.
• Manage relationships and deliverables with current OHS vendors, training partners, and health centers to facilitate all necessary events.
• Evaluate vendor performance through thorough assessments and ongoing feedback.
• Lead the team’s interaction with Remote’s employees to provide their health assessments and safety training requirements.
• Organize and conduct internal audits for Occupational Health and Safety in various countries to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Identify, create, and suggest enhancements to existing Occupational Health and Safety procedures and practices.
• Collaborate with the People and Legal teams to draft and formulate Health and Safety policies.
• Serve as both an internal and external advocate for Remote's values and the objectives of the Lifecycle team.
• Carefully manage and safeguard employee data and confidential information, following established protocols, and ensuring the highest level of professionalism and discretion in handling and accessing such information.
• Extensive work experience in a digital setting.
• Operational experience with processes spanning multiple countries.
• Experience in scouting, onboarding, and/or managing vendors and partners.
• Ability to rapidly engage and support external employees and vendors across various countries.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to map processes effectively.
• A collaborative team player who operates independently and communicates proactively and positively.
• Possesses a growth-oriented and problem-solving approach. Able to adapt tasks and priorities swiftly and effectively when circumstances change.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus.
• Remote work experience is not mandatory but will be viewed favorably.
