Senior Liability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid to complex Auto and/or General Liability claims, encompassing bodily injury and property damage.

• Manage litigated cases and operate under delegated authority.

• Receive claims, verify policy coverage, and acknowledge claims.

• Assess claim validity and compensability.

• Investigate and process Auto and/or General Liability claims.

• Set reserves and authorize payments within the limits of reserving authority.

• Keep customers, claimants, and clients updated on claim status.

• Comply with client and carrier guidelines and engage in claims reviews as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with team members on complex or challenging claims.

• Execute additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing General Liability claims, including high exposure and/or litigated cases.

• At least two (2) years' experience handling Auto Liability claims.

• A valid Adjuster’s License in the state of operation is required.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Preference for candidates with a Multi-State license.

• Experience with municipalities is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to learn quickly and develop knowledge in claims practices.

• Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues.

• Strong computer skills and technical knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Proven ability to meet or surpass performance expectations.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
