This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Conduct thorough and timely investigations of liability claims, interviewing all pertinent parties to gather facts about loss events and establish liability; manage claims files to their final resolutions.
β’ Assess claim exposures, identify the appropriate courses of action, and settle claims accordingly, interpreting facts within relevant legal frameworks to determine liability and claim values.
β’ Engage extensively with various stakeholders involved in the claims process.
β’ Create settlement, litigation, and defense strategies by evaluating factual information to resolve claims in a cost-efficient manner; collaborate with defense attorneys and clients according to account handling guidelines.
β’ Record and communicate all claim activities promptly and effectively to support the outcomes of claim files, following established procedures; develop and maintain a proactive action plan.
β’ Employ a diary system effectively and appropriately to keep claims files up to date.
β’ Review and address claim file reserves for accuracy.
β’ Prepare for and take on leadership roles alongside defense counsel during mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
β’ Develop problem-solving frameworks to plan, organize, and negotiate claim resolutions efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely service to clients.
β’ Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20)
β’ At least five years of experience managing all aspects of liability claims and subrogation with a consistently high level of performance and success.
β’ Required experience in general liability, auto liability, complex, and professional liability claims.
β’ Willingness to travel for mediations, client status reporting, or other necessary meetings.
β’ Extensive knowledge of relevant statutes, industry standards, and practices.
β’ Proven ability to negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims effectively, including interpreting related documentation.
β’ Proficient in operating a personal computer and using related claims and business software.
β’ Capable of attending and actively participating in mediations, claim reviews, and status meetings with clients as needed.
β’ Self-motivated and able to work independently.
β’ Strong customer service skills.
