This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• In the role of Senior Specialist Legal Editor for Practical Law, you will leverage your specialized legal expertise in antitrust law and practice to create and sustain a diverse array of content while supporting the advancement of Thomson Reuters' AI-driven legal solutions.
• Conduct research, author, and maintain clear, relevant, and practical legal content that aligns with market standards, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Review and refine content produced by colleagues or external expert contributors.
• Stay informed about legal, practice, and market advancements to ensure content remains precise, pertinent, and in alignment with business goals.
• Utilize your legal knowledge to assist in the development of customer-centric Thomson Reuters' AI-enhanced legal solutions.
• Apply your legal insight and editorial capabilities to contribute to the development and implementation of internal AI editorial tools.
• Build and sustain relationships with lawyers and industry associations to ensure content accurately reflects the current market landscape.
• Use your specialized legal understanding to support the broader Thomson Reuters team, collaborating with product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions as needed.
• You are an ideal candidate if you hold a Juris Doctor degree and possess a valid license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction, along with the following qualifications:
• A minimum of 8 years of experience working as an antitrust lawyer in a law firm or in-house setting in the US.
• Extensive experience in advising on Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act filings, HSR exemptions, and premerger notification practices.
• Experience in advising on gun-jumping issues, clean team arrangements, and antitrust risk-shifting provisions in M&A transactions.
• Familiarity with the Practical Law What’s Market database or similar deal intelligence resources.
• Exceptional writing skills and a genuine passion for articulating legal practice accurately, succinctly, and in plain English.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively both independently and within teams.
• Strong technical skills and the capacity to effectively utilize various tools, including AI technologies, to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Adaptability and flexibility to engage in diverse projects and tasks within the AI domain as well as new and evolving technologies.
• A curious mindset that embraces the growing intersection of AI and legal practice, demonstrating adaptability and openness to change.
• A strong interest in and experience using AI tools in legal work.
