Senior Legal Counsel – NA Litigation, Employment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver dependable, cost-efficient, and prompt legal advice to various business units on a diverse range of matters that influence both the regional and global corporation.

• Counsel and negotiate on commercial transactions, contracts, and agreements with major customers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring they align with business objectives and legal requirements.

• Provide strategic legal insights on significant transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), focusing on risk identification and conducting necessary due diligence.

• Oversee daily legal issues related to business operations, encompassing aspects such as plant operations, logistics, asset management, and real estate (e.g., leases, property agreements).

• Anticipate, reduce, and manage legal risks by offering proactive legal strategies and keeping an eye on emerging legal trends that could affect the business.

• Assist in the company's litigation strategy, manage disputes, and address intellectual property rights matters, utilizing external counsel as needed.

• Contribute to the formulation of company policies, operational enhancements, and procedural improvements by providing legal perspectives on regulatory compliance and business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active membership in the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction or Canadian jurisdiction.

• Bachelor's Degree and graduation from an accredited law school.

• Significant expertise required in: Employment law.

• Litigation and dispute resolution strategy.

• Experience in managing outside counsel and handling complex disputes.

• Strong judgment in managing privileged, sensitive, and reputation-critical matters.

• Strong judgment, executive presence, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with non-legal stakeholders.

• Excellent cross-functional partnership skills and the capacity to advise business teams in a practical, solution-focused manner.

• Minimum of 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
