This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on intricate employment law issues throughout the EMEA region.
• Offer practical and commercially oriented advice during the entire employee lifecycle, which includes recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, restructurings, layoffs, terminations, employee transfers, and post-employment responsibilities.
• Assist with high-stakes employee relations issues and develop litigation strategies in collaboration with external legal counsel.
• Evaluate legal risks associated with international recruitment, Employer of Record functions, immigration, benefits, and workforce mobility.
• Collaborate with local legal experts globally to ensure the provision of precise and pragmatic legal counsel.
• Create strategies for risk mitigation while aligning with business objectives.
• Mentor and guide Legal Specialists, Legal Associates, and Legal Counsel.
• Review intricate legal advice prior to its external dissemination.
• Contribute to the establishment of best practices, legal manuals, and quality benchmarks within the legal department.
• Serve as an escalation point for sensitive or critical legal issues impacting the business.
• Develop templates, automate processes, and create legal workflows to enhance efficiency without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to convert legal requirements into scalable platform features.
• Promote ongoing enhancements in legal processes.
• Provide advice on GDPR and privacy issues that affect employees, contractors, and clients.
• Assist with internal compliance programs, audits, and regulatory obligations.
• In-depth knowledge of European employment law.
• Strong grasp of cross-border workforce compliance.
• Significant experience managing complex employee lifecycle issues.
• Skilled in negotiating intricate commercial contracts.
• Practical understanding of GDPR and employment-related privacy matters.
• Experience collaborating with external legal counsel across various jurisdictions.
• Previous experience in mentoring or leading legal teams.
• Familiarity with supporting rapidly expanding international businesses.
• Law Degree (LLB/JD) from an accredited institution.
• Bar admission or qualification in at least one European jurisdiction.
