Senior Lead Data Analyst, Merchant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic analytical partner for Merchant leadership and key business stakeholders.

• Convert intricate data into high-impact business strategies and actionable investment proposals.

• Design and advocate for a comprehensive analytical roadmap for Merchant and Loan portfolios.

• Develop predictive and prescriptive models to enhance merchant operations and loan management.

• Create the definitive source for Merchant KPIs while managing health, profitability, and risk frameworks.

• Construct and supervise experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing, incrementality, and elasticity modeling.

• Allocate analytical resources effectively between immediate operational requirements and scalable solutions.

• Lead collaboration efforts with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership regarding data infrastructure.

• Develop automated monitoring systems to pinpoint friction points within the merchant funnel.

• Mentor senior analysts and promote technical excellence alongside a business-first mindset.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant analytical experience.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL.

• Proficient in Python or R.

• Strong grasp of data governance principles.

• Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Sigma.

• Ability to simplify complex analytical insights into engaging narratives.

• Capable of presenting clearly and confidently to CEOs or Boards of Directors.

• Responsible for data pipeline management and ensuring the accuracy of insights.

• Skilled in optimizing solutions using an 80/20 approach.
