
Senior Lawyer, Contracts – Customs & Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Prepare, assess, and negotiate corporate contracts pertaining to the importation, manufacturing, and commercialization of private label products, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with the company's goals;
• Organize and negotiate import-on-demand agreements with trading firms, domestic and international manufacturers, and other key partners;
• Create and evaluate tripartite agreements involving the company, trading firms, and manufacturers, outlining contractual, operational, and consumer-related obligations;
• Assist in the legal structuring of domestic manufacturing operations, facilitating the legal relationship with strategic suppliers;
• Offer consultative legal assistance to business units during project development and execution, serving as a strategic partner in formulating legal solutions;
• Manage multidisciplinary matters related to Intellectual Property, Foreign Trade, Tax, Data Protection, Compliance, and other legal areas, coordinating with internal experts;
• Oversee multiple simultaneous requests and stakeholders, ensuring organization, prioritization of tasks, and adherence to project timelines;
• Aid in the progression of operations from contract structuring to operational stabilization, contributing to risk mitigation and project continuity;
• Recognize legal risks associated with commercial activities and suggest solutions that align with the company's growth strategy;
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, providing clear and objective legal advice that meets business needs;
• Juris Doctor degree and active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association);
• Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex corporate contracts;
• Background in Foreign Trade operations, particularly with contracts related to import-on-demand (customs);
• Experience negotiating agreements with trading companies, domestic and international manufacturers, and supply chains;
• Understanding of import operations and contractual structuring within supply chains;
• Proficient or fluent in English;
• Consultative mindset, capable of functioning as a business partner and leading strategic negotiations;
• Ability to operate independently, remain organized, and effectively handle multiple concurrent demands;
• Exceptional communication skills, business acumen, and capability to engage with various stakeholders;
• Experience in retail, marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors is advantageous;
• Familiarity with Private Label operations is a plus;
• Experience with projects related to the importation of high-turnover consumer products is a plus;
• Practical experience in customs operations focused on retail is beneficial;
• Understanding of the import and distribution logistics chain is a plus.
