This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.
• Evaluate and oversee bodily injury claims from the moment they are reported until resolution, including litigation, while ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations to determine the nature and severity of injuries, collecting all relevant documentation and evidence.
• Manage and assess extra-contractual claims, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, legal teams, and clients to gain a thorough understanding of each case.
• Keep policyholders updated throughout the claims process, providing regular updates and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives in line with company policies and regulatory standards, aiming for fair and just outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to support claim evaluations and settlement discussions.
• Monitor case progress and provide updates to management and stakeholders as needed.
• Work closely with internal teams, legal counsel, and management to resolve complex claims and minimize risk.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive claim files, documentation, and activity logs in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to bodily injury claims management.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on claims handling processes and strategies.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance.
• At least 10 years of experience in bodily injury claims adjusting, including handling extra-contractual claims.
• Extensive knowledge of litigation and legal principles.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and injury assessment.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to evaluate complex issues and negotiate fair settlements.
• Proven skills in negotiation and communication, with a history of successful settlements.
• Ability to interpret complex information and make informed decisions.
• Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
