Senior Labor Relations Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead strategies for market engagement that emphasize labor relations education, coaching assistance, and risk mitigation for designated markets while enhancing leader capabilities.

• Ensure that all labor relations activities are in alignment with Starbucks’ Mission and Values.

• Analyze data related to business and partner experiences to identify trends and guide decision-making.

• Build and nurture relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders to foster positive partner relations.

• Act as a trusted advisor on all matters related to labor relations, proactively reducing risks to partner experiences.

• Provide strategic guidance and consultation on labor relations issues across retail, support, and PRO teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of labor and human resources laws and regulations, including but not limited to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA, and relevant state/local laws and ordinances.

• 3-7 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, and/or Employee Relations.

• Proven experience in successfully establishing collaborative and trusting partnerships with union representatives.

• Experience in integrating labor relations practices into business operations in a manner that supports and improves overall business efficiency.

• A solid understanding of employee relations practices.

• Ability to communicate effectively and influence peers and leaders through strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in technical business writing.

• Strong skills in facilitation and presentation.

• Experience in addressing and solving complex challenges.

• Conduct training sessions and lead meetings.

• Proficient in technology and familiar with case management systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and project management systems.
