Senior Knowledge Graph Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-speed GraphRAG ingestion pipelines that convert relational data, unstructured ESG reports, and streaming feeds into operational Labeled Property Graphs and RDF Triple Stores.

• Construct automated workflows for Named Entity Recognition, entity linking, and deduplication to consolidate mismatched vendor profiles, material SKUs, and facility coordinates into cohesive canonical graph nodes.

• Establish automated ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate and federate internal supply chain data with external open-source ontologies and registries.

• Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers to create low-latency GraphRAG retrieval layers, optimize Cypher and SPARQL queries, develop NL2Query tools, and hybrid vector-graph indexing pipelines, along with MCP tool endpoints.

• Operationalize SHACL shapes into automated data quality assessments within CI/CD pipelines.

• Enhance multi-hop query performance, graph partitioning, and database indexing strategies for efficient traversal across billions of nodes and edges.

• Empower autonomous AI agents tackling sustainability challenges, such as decarbonization, sustainable procurement compliance, and supply chain resilience.

• Connect unstructured sustainability disclosures with structured graph databases by constructing entity-resolution pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 4 years of hands-on experience in building and querying graph databases.

• Familiarity with Labeled Property Graphs, including Neo4j, Memgraph, or TigerGraph, as well as RDF Triple Stores like GraphDB, Stardog, or Virtuoso.

• Strong background in cloud technologies, preferably Azure, along with its ecosystem, including Azure Foundry, Azure Bicep, AzureML, and Azure Cloud Storage.

• Advanced skills in Python, encompassing RDFLib, NetworkX, and PyGraphistry.

• Experience in constructing entity extraction pipelines using LangChain, LlamaIndex, spaCy, or LLM-based structured extraction methods.

• Practical experience with dbt and the integration of graph databases with vector stores such as Qdrant, Pinecone, or pgvector.

• Comprehension of RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SHACL, RDF-star, SPARQL, graph schema design, T-Box/A-Box separation, RML, and R2RML.

• Experience in supply chain management, carbon accounting following the GHG Protocol, or lifecycle assessment data structures is advantageous.

• Direct experience in developing Model Context Protocol servers is a plus.

• Background in enterprise OBDA approaches at scale is a plus.

• Candidates must have eligibility to work and reside in Spain.
