Senior Java Software Engineer, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Java-based backend applications and microservices, prioritizing performance and reliability.

• Develop applications adhering to best practices in clean coding, testing, and performance enhancement.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications while integrating CI/CD pipelines.

• Utilize events to create resilient, asynchronous systems that promote scalability and decoupled services.

• Architect and oversee efficient relational database integrations, ensuring data integrity and responsiveness of the system.

• Participate in architectural discussions, conduct code reviews, and advocate for best practices.

• Mentor junior developers and cultivate a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software development using Java 8 or later.

• Deep expertise in Spring Boot and the broader Spring framework ecosystem.

• Practical experience in designing and deploying RESTful microservices.

• Competence in writing optimized SQL queries and managing databases.

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems.

• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven systems, and distributed architectures.

• Basic knowledge of Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tools for automated building and deployment processes.

• Proficient in Git and Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is essential.
