Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design, strategy, and quality of software development within your team.

• Convert objectives into iterative MVPs, assess them, and subsequently refactor into a scalable and extensible architecture.

• Create and develop highly scalable, reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems with a clean codebase, requiring minimal supervision.

• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote enhancements to uphold high standards.

• Continuously explore new technologies and tools to improve product offerings.

• Demonstrate high ownership and initiative in all projects.

• Analyze various technical options for a problem statement, weigh the pros and cons, and recommend optimal solutions based on comprehensive research.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to gain insights and share best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in software development, with a solid background in creating, testing, deploying, and designing large-scale applications for consumer or enterprise products.

• Proficient in multiple programming languages including Java, with additional languages considered a plus.

• Experienced in designing and implementing high-performance RESTful and GRPC services with low latency.

• Familiar with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Well-versed in Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).

• Strong understanding of memory management, performance optimization, concurrency and multithreading, fault tolerance, and security.

• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles, with adept use of design patterns to address complex challenges and enhance code maintainability and scalability.

• Exceptional capability to model intricate real-world processes and interactions into clear and effective software solutions.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a proven history of effectively engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
