Senior Java Developer – Healthcare, PBM Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create applications and microservices using Java.

• Develop scalable solutions for high-performance transaction systems.

• Create and maintain event-driven applications and integrations utilizing Apache Kafka.

• Engage in Agile planning, estimation, and design activities.

• Collaborate with product and project teams to deliver technical estimates and progress updates.

• Diagnose and resolve complex production and system issues.

• Independently manage development tasks with minimal oversight.

• Work effectively with distributed teams across various time zones.

• Clearly and proactively communicate critical issues.

• Provide support for system architecture and hands-on development.

• Conduct peer code assessments and mentor junior developers.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Experience with SOAP/REST web services and microservices architecture.

• Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures.

• Familiarity with Struts, Spring MVC, and ESB technologies like Camel/Fuse.

• Understanding of OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID authentication protocols.

• Experience in developing front-end components using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks.

• Proficient with Git, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, and Jenkins.

• Ability to write optimized Oracle SQL queries.

• Knowledge of system design, architecture, and security best practices.

• Capable of solving complex technical problems and rapidly learning new technologies.

• Skilled in managing priorities independently while working with distributed teams.

• At least 3 years of experience based in the U.S.

• Over 10 years of overall industry experience.

• Preferred experience with Azure configurations.

• Familiarity with AWS, Hibernate, Spring Batch, and data processing tools like Airflow is preferred.

• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, claims, pharmacy benefits, or insurance platforms is advantageous.
